Peter Schwartz is one of the world's leading futurists. He is the cofounder and chairman of Global Business Network, USA, an international think tank and consulting firm that helps companies, governments, and non-profits think strategically about the future to make better decisions today.

Peter's books on a wide variety of future-oriented topics, include Inevitable Surprises (Gotham, 2003) and The Art of the Long View (Doubleday, 1991) a major text on scenario planning. He co-wrote The Long Boom (Perseus, 1999), a look at a future characterized by global openness, prosperity, and discovery. When Good Companies Do Bad Things (Wiley, 1999), is an argument for corporate responsibility in an age of corruption. China's Futures (Jossey-Bass, 2001), is a vision of several different potential futures for China. He co-authored the Pentagon's An Abrupt Climate Change Scenario and Its Implications for United States National Security.
